right, so been a while.
got a couple ideas. really REALLY want to do a human behaviour experiment, but there is so much work just getting an OK to use everyone.
IDEA NO 1.
see if teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 ( just for convenience sake) can remember more words when given to them visually or through audio.
My idea to do this is basically get 15 girls, 15 boys and have two lists of 20 words. For half the girls i will read list 1, while i will give the other half, list 1 to look at for a minute. same for the boys. immediately after i will get them to write as many words as they can remember. so independent variable should be the audio or visual, and the dependant variable being how many words will be remembered. Will do it 3 or 4 times, depending on time and what not. but should be interesting and not THAT hard to organise and carry out.
IDEA NO 2.
Genders effect on ability to multitask. main point is to PROVE that boys cant multi task :D so EQUIPMENT : 10 boys and girls ( do they count? i dont know) , changing music, science text books, bell
aim: to show which gender has a higher ability to multitask
method: give each test subject a science text book and a pad of paper. the test subjects must copy out a chapter of the text book while also tallying how many times "the" is said in the various songs ( all song will be chosen beforehand).every time the bell rings, which is every two minutes, the subjects must get up spin around once and sit back down, while the music is still playing. after 20 minutes the text subjects may stop.
from this information, i should be able to calculate which gender is more capable of multi tasking
